Eastern Canada
Arriving in Montreal, we spent time exploring Mont Royal before heading out to Halifax, Nova Scotia on board the Ocean Sleeper, arriving in Halifax the following evening.
Two days in Halifax enabled us to visit the Canadian Immigration Museum, the Maritime Museum and the Citadel, before heading off to Prince Edward Island in our hire car.
Three glorious days in PEI were followed by a drive to Quebec City, overnighting in Edmundston on the way.
Our three days in Quebec City included the Citadel, the ferry across to Levis and a trip out to Jacques Cartier National Park.
We then set off to our final stop at a beautiful lakeside "Treehouse' on Lac Labelle, about an hour north of Montreal.
We drove a total of 1,361 miles and walked 55.5 miles.
We shall need to return to this beautiful and spacious country very soon!
